I’m Mark. I was a working journalist for 20 years before becoming as a communications specialist for a university. Today, I am a technical project manager for a website development company.
For most of my life, I felt a calling to the sea and, after taking sailing lessons, I knew that’s where I belonged.
In 2021, my wife and I bought a 1988 Hunter 28.5 that had been abandoned and left to rot with the goal of becoming proficient sailors while also learning everything we can. It’s been a long and ongoing process from removing more than five construction site trash bags filled with things we found on her to replacing the cabe sole (floor).
Our dream is to some day buy a boat big enough to live on, sail the Caribbean, cross the Atlantic, and live our days in Mediterranean.
